Economic Development Authority (EDA)

The Economic Development Authority (EDA) is a public commission which focuses primarily on housing. The EDA minutes can be found under the Agendas/Minutes tab.

The EDA has a subdivision in the City of Jackson, with lots available. There are also various other single lots available throughout town. Please contact Wendy Anderson at 507-847-4423 for more information about available lots.

Jackson Economic Development Corporation (JEDC)

The Jackson Economic Development Corporation (JEDC) is a private, not-for-profit corporation. It is the mission of the JEDC to strengthen the local economy by bringing new businesses and industries to the Jackson area and helping existing businesses prosper.

Jackson Business Development Committee (JBDC)

The Jackson Business Development Committee (JBDC) is a group of people representing retail and service businesses in Jackson. The purpose of the JBDC is to facilitate the development and retention of local service and retail businesses. They meet monthly on the 1st Wednesday at Pizza Ranch; their meetings are not open to the public. The JBDC conducts visits with each local retail and service business owner/manager every 2 to 3 years.

Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce

The Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce/CVB is an association of business people and individuals working to enhance and improve the economic and civic vitality of our community. We are a volunteer organization financed by member investment and fundraising efforts, run by a volunteer Board of Directors. Our Mission Statement is Creating and Promoting New Possibilities, which we carry out by focusing efforts on membership benefits and services, community events, business promotion and growth, education and tourism.
