The Airport Commission’s Mission Statement for the Jackson Municipal Airport

1. Preserve and operate a community infrastructure asset.
2. Provide a safe, efficient, attractive, well-maintained, and customer focused airport, and meet rising quality and environmental standards.
3. Support efforts to expand and improve the airport facility and runway as may be dictated through economics, governmental agencies, and/or the desire of the neighboring community.
4. Serve present and future private, commercial, and industrial needs of the community as well as all of Jackson County and the region.
5. Provide an airport which will stimulate the economic vitality of our community and maintain its competitive edge for the purpose of attracting future development, while at the same time supporting our present businesses and industries.

The Airport Commission meets on the last Tuesday of month @ 5:15 PM at the airport terminal building.
