Jackson is part of Jackson County Central Schools (Independent School District 2895).

There is one each elementary, middle, and senior high schools which serve roughly 1,050 students. The teacher/pupil ratio at all three schools is 15:1, and 85% of the students go on to attend post-secondary educational facilities compared to a statewide average of 65%.
